Tips for Use

Rinse Media Thoroughly
Always rinse media until the water runs clear before connecting the canister and powering the pump.

Adjust Flow Settings Properly
Two adjustment points are available — at the pump and by twisting the canister.
Start with the pump at its lowest flow setting and allow the canister to fill slowly to prevent media from floating to the top and exiting the reactor.

Release Trapped Bubbles
After filling, unplug the pump, gently tap the reactor to release trapped air bubbles, and allow the media to settle.

Fine-Tune Water Flow
Plug the pump back in and slowly twist the canister to dial in the ideal flow:

• GFO should lightly tumble

• Carbon should not tumble
