Technical Background

Restor is a concentrated blend of amino acids and fatty acids derived from marine fishes and crustaceans. It provides essential EPA, DHA, and other omega-3 fatty acids, along with naturally occurring pigments.

This formula was developed specifically for corals and similar organisms that:

• Have been newly introduced to an aquarium and are adjusting to lighting conditions.

• Have experienced prolonged heat stress, leading to bleaching.

• Have undergone physical damage from fragmentation, propagation, or fish/invertebrate grazing.

During bleaching, corals often rely more on capturing food than on their symbiotic zooxanthellae. Restor provides crucial nutrition during this time to support survival and recovery. While it does not directly reverse bleaching, it enhances the coral's ability to recover by providing nutrients essential during the reacclimation or reacquisition of zooxanthellae.

Using Restor to enrich appropriately sized plankton is also an effective delivery method.

Storage Note:
Refrigeration is not required, but storing Restor in a cool, shaded place extends vitamin activity. Refrigeration will further maximize shelf life.

Instructions & Guidelines

Shake well before use. Turn off protein skimmers and mechanical filtration before feeding. Wait 10–15 minutes after feeding before resuming filtration.

Target Feeding (Recommended):

• Use a syringe, pipette, dropper, or rigid tubing.

• Add 5 ml (1 capful) of Restor to a small container.

• Draw a portion into the feeding tool and release it slowly 2–4" upstream of the target coral.

• Rinse the feeder before dipping back into the bottle to avoid contamination.

• For food soaking: Place food in a clean container, add up to 5 ml of Restor, soak for 5–10 minutes, and target feed as directed.

Broadcast Feeding:

• Add up to 5 ml per 50 gallons of aquarium water in a high-flow area every 2–3 days for the first four weeks.

• Gradually increase dosage thereafter as needed.

Important Notes:

• Do not exceed 5 ml of total liquid food per 50 gallons daily for the first four weeks.

• Slowly increasing the dose allows biological filtration to adapt, helping maintain water quality.

• Target feeding is preferred for better absorption and reduced waste compared to broadcast feeding.
