A must have for any SPS/Mixed reef owner. Doesn't compare to other phosphate test kits as this is looking at parts per billion, not million like others. This helped me drop my phosphate down to an acceptable range.

Advantages: Easy Reading
Reliable

Disadvantages: Need to mix reagents in time or unit will shut off.
Vials need to be perfectly clean.
Refills are a bit pricey.

Worth every penny, and a must have. Was showing 0.0 phosphates from another test and still dealing with a crazy alge outbreak. It wasn't until I started using the ULR checker that I got it under control.

Advantages: Acurate.

Disadvantages: No real cons to this. If I had to be picky I'd say the instructions are not the greatest, but there is enough info online to keep you from wasting test packs.

I could not continue using my clor change kit because of my low phosphate. I bought this tester and realized I was 15 imes above the 0.03 ppm phosphate limit. I am very happy with my acquisition.

Advantages: Precise for the hobby. Fairly easy to use.

Disadvantages: Pricey per test.

you have to buy extra 25 pack of reagents because there only six with the kit and you are going to have research it online and you tube to get it right. Trust me! you also should multiply the result by 0.003066 so I finally on the six try got 14 x the factor for .043 which is well under one and amazing. So once you figure it out and don't get finger prints on the test tube and get good at pouring the reagent then it is a struggle. This is the best low range kit and five stars. If you run GFO then the kit can tell you when is it time to change the medium.
