Great price

Price was great when I initially got into the hobby but it is constantly overflowing, it’s too capricious. If you’re serious about the hobby look at the reef octopus “regal” line I highly recommend.

a skimmer will not start overflowing out of nowhere after having it for that long. There is something in your water column causing it to 'over skim'.

Bubble Magus Curve A5 DC Protein Skimmer

i reviewed this initially and said it performed well. and it does for hours at a time....u must constantly monitor it. it will overflow and is extremely sensitive do not buy this skimmer the price point is tempting and yes it is silent but spend a bit more dough for a better product

Bubble Magus Curve A5 DC Protein Skimmer

Skimmer comes packed well but that’s the only good thing about this skimmer other than cost. After 11 months this skimmer is still not “broken” in. It requires you to jerry rig an air restrictor and even then it doesn’t want to produce skimmate properly. Overall I would not recommend this skimmer as it is constantly overflowing. @ Braden if the skimmer is overflowing after the break in period it means there is a either something in the water casing it or its placed too deep. Chemicals such a cyano cleaners, fish meds and even oils on your hands can cause this. Please contact us and we'll help you get it settled.
