The Patent Pending Klir Fleece Filter Di-4 fits directly into most 4in filter sock chambers that automatically unrolls new material as it gets clogged, removing suspended particles from your aquarium and producing crystal clear water.  Enjoy maintenance-free aquarium filtration for months at a time.
 
The Klir filter is a direct replacement for filter socks on sumps with sock trays. Simply remove your sock and insert the Klir.  As water passes through the Klir filter and the filtering material becomes saturated with waste, the water level will begin to rise.  When the water makes contact with the optical sensor, a motor is activated to advance clean filtering material. It works, but the filtering effect is not very good, there are often leaks where the water flows without filtering.

It works as it should after a little cleanup along the felt path. I could not get the roll to advance to take up the slack after inserting the unit into my sump which requires it to be bent open and then stood up again. The controller would just blink red if you hold the button to advance the roll. Its already wet by then so I left it for a few days to get dirty before removing the whole unit again. Once out everything seemed easy to move so I tried the controller to advance the roll and it worked. Back in it went and this time the controller would advance the roll to take up the slack. Has been working for the last week normally.

Works great for me, read lots of bad reviews , but it seams to be working for me I did not do any modification I have about half a roll used and it's working great
